The BCRP Breakfast

A Berkeley County institution.

Once a month, the Republicans of Berkeley County gather over coffee, eggs, and grits, and the direction of the party gets shaped one handshake at a time.

The BCRP Breakfast is a required stop for anyone serious about winning office in South Carolina. Candidates for state, local, and federal office work the room every month, from school board hopefuls to sitting members of Congress. The party has hosted Presidential candidates at this legendary event, and it has become one of the most reliable early-state proving grounds in the Lowcountry.

Held the first Saturday of every month at the American Legion in Goose Creek. Freedom Fund members get $5 off every ticket. If you want to meet the candidates before your neighbors do, this is where it happens. And if you're running for office and you haven't spoken at breakfast, you're not really running yet.

John McGrath is the Chairman of the Berkeley County Republican Party, where he leads with a focus on grassroots organization, principled leadership, and conservative values. A graduate of The Citadel and a U.S. Army officer, John brings disciplined leadership, strategic focus, and a deep commitment to public service.

Before becoming Chairman, he led successful Republican organizations and campaigns across the Lowcountry, earning a reputation for building strong ground games and connecting with voters. Under his leadership, the BCRP is focused on growing precinct-level engagement, raising the resources needed to win, and strengthening the conservative foundation of Berkeley County.

John believes the future of the Republican Party depends on bold leadership and year-round voter engagement. He is committed to building a professional, welcoming, and effective organization. A resident of Hanahan, he is active in the community and dedicated to protecting the values that make Berkeley County strong.

Rob Cornicelli is a United States Army veteran and former Executive Officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency. The founder of the Veteran Recovery Coalition, Rob is the National President of Veterans for Trump (Veterans for America First).

Rob holds a master's degree from Long Island University and is currently a Senior Loan Officer with SouthFork Funding in Summerville. He was elected in January 2025 to serve as 2nd Vice Chairman of the Berkeley County Republican Party, and elected in April 2025 to serve as 1st Vice Chairman.

Linda Collins has been active in the Berkeley County Republican Party for a decade, serving as a Precinct President, Executive Committeeman, and Secretary.

She has also served as Secretary for the 1st Congressional District Convention as well as several County Conventions, Precinct Reorganization organizer for the BCGOP, Credentials Chairman for the County and State Conventions, and Delegate to the County Convention, State Convention, and 1st Congressional District Convention. Linda has also served as a Precinct Poll Worker and was the runner-up Alternate to the RNC Convention in 2020.

Victoria Cowart, CPM, NAAEI Faculty, is a multi-family industry member with extensive experience providing management and oversight for rental properties. She arrived at the BCGOP with a passion for legislation, education, and simplification. “Communicate, educate, activate” and “good, better, best” are her mantras for the members.

Victoria obtained her degree in the Management of Human Resources and then her industry CPM designation. She was honored to be commissioned a SC “Palmetto Patriot,” and to receive the Charleston Regional Business Journal's Executive “Influential Women In Business.”

Victoria has been a leader in her industry and came to the Party having chaired a national PAC and most recently the NAA's Legislative Committee. Beginning as a member, then a Vice Chair, Victoria completed two terms as Chair of the Berkeley County Republican Party. She is a wife and mother, and excited for the future of this party.

As Secretary, Debi maintains the party's official record: the bylaws, the precinct reorganization participation list, standing rules, and the minutes and committee reports of the Executive Committee.

She prepares the agenda for Executive Committee meetings and the County Convention, publishes the minutes, files required reports to SCGOP headquarters, and keeps party records available at every meeting.
