Organized Precincts

Organized precincts. One county.

The Berkeley County precincts organized with elected Republican officers, and where each one votes.

How the Party Is Organized

It starts in your precinct.

The Republican Party is organized in four levels. Each is built by the level beneath it, beginning with the precinct where you vote and ending at the national convention.

Representation flows up. Authority flows down.

Your precinct elects a committeeman who casts its vote on the county Executive Committee. The county sends delegates to the state convention. The state seats three members on the RNC. Rules travel the other direction, from the RNC to the SCGOP to the county party. Every level of the Republican Party rests on the precinct.
