The Berkeley County Republican Party (“BCRP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to berkeleyrepublicanparty.com and to our email and text messaging programs.

Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide to us, including:

• Contact information: name, email address, mailing address, and mobile phone number
• Precinct and voter information: your Berkeley County precinct and party affiliation
• Application information: details you submit when applying to serve on the Executive Committee
• Event and contribution records: tickets purchased and contributions made through our payment processors

Contributions are processed by third-party providers (Anedot and WinRed). Payment card details are handled entirely by those processors and are never stored by the BCRP.

How We Use Your Information

• To send party news, event announcements, and calls to action
• To organize precincts and coordinate volunteers
• To process contributions and event registrations
• To comply with South Carolina and federal campaign finance reporting requirements

Carriers & Delivery

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.

SMS Data Sharing

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties except for the messaging service providers that operate the program on our behalf. Your mobile information is never rented or sold.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only:

• With service providers who operate our email, texting, and donation platforms under contract
• With the South Carolina Republican Party, consistent with party rules
• As required by law, including campaign finance disclosure requirements

Contribution records that must be disclosed to the South Carolina State Ethics Commission or the Federal Election Commission become public records under applicable law.

Data Protection

The BCRP maintains reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. Access to party data systems is limited to authorized officers and committee members. Under Rule XII of the BCRP Rules and Bylaws, a CRM Oversight Committee governs access to and protection of party data.

Your Choices

• Email: unsubscribe using the link in any message
• Text messages: reply STOP to any message
• Access or deletion: contact us to request a copy of your information or ask that it be removed

We may be required to retain certain contribution records regardless of a deletion request, in order to comply with campaign finance law.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and messaging programs are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
